CommonsPolis

Identity card

Created in Spain in 2018, the Franco-Spanish association known as CommonsPolis aims to strengthen citizen initiatives to construct alternatives to the systemic crisis and promote the protection of diversity, democratic radicalism, shared assets, respect for human rights and respect for nature. The association’s main objective is to help set up a network, and to reflect on and diffuse information on the municipalist movement in France, Spain and Europe as a whole.

Objectives

1.- Contribute to knowledge management in the field of municipalism, with a focus on experiences related to radical democracy, shared assets, respect for human rights and respect for nature.

2.- Develop a strategy to communicate and to heighten society’s awareness of the impacts of emancipation and citizen participation.

3.- Help European and American actors in municipalism meet and work together, with a focus on exchanges between Spain and French-speaking European countries.

4.- Strengthen municipalism actors in their cooperative culture and efforts to achieve non-violent transformation of conflicts, so that citizen-based policies can be constructed.
