The Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation for the Progress of Humankind (FPH) is a Swiss foundation that makes grants to civil society movements and organisations to support their actions in favour of a social and ecological transition.
Budget 2018-2020: 276 000 €
The purpose of a foundation is not to take the place of civil society organisations and advocate in their stead. A foundation can, however, use its logistical resources to support these actors and their ideas.
FPH has dropped anchor at two sites: 38 rue Saint-Sabin in Paris, France and 4-6 avenue Dickens in Lausanne, Switzerland. It brings these premises to life, opens them to a wide public and provides a space for debate on issues it supports.
