Risteco-Eating City is an organisation established in 2017 under the French law of 1901 to take over the activity of Consorzio Risteco, previously based in Torino, Italy, and located in Marcieux (73), France, since 2015 before its closing planned in 2018.

The organisation Risteco-Eating City manages and coordinates the activities of the Eating City International Platform. Eating City has been a pionneer in 2010 while proposing to focus on cities the reflexion on sustainable food, with a specific attention to the volume of food flows generated by the urban metabolism and to control theses flows by adopting specific policies and have them clearly identified as drivers for a sustainable and local development.


  • promote the sustainable development in Public catering as a pillar to implement the transition towards sustainable cities;

  • formulate public catering development strategies based on the improvement of communication between stakeholders and on the results of technical and scientific innovation, land aiming at the integration between environment, social responsibility and Human Work.

  • share its own conviction that it is possible and advantageous to work according to ethics and sustainable development principles.
